Charlotte
Charlotte sat in her cell in Juvie trying to get the knots out of her light brown hair with her fingers. She had been in this place for a year she had shoplifted and then been accused of beating someone up to near death. She had not beat someone up but who would believe her she had no family and was just a common orphan criminal that didn't matter. But she did matter she was a child she deserved a normal life with a family who loved her. But that's not the way life works. Charlotte had always been brave she didn't cry at her parents funeral and always kept to her self. Her only friend she would never see again she was in the other side of the USA and was not in Juvie with her."Here's your meal", the guard said slipping her bread, water, and a bowl of to hot to eat soup.
"You can go out side for an hour after this to do your chores"
"Yes sir", she replied looking down at her meal.
Sometimes she just wished she was invisible she felt like it all the time. She didn't need anyone anyways. It would be nice to have someone who liked you but who would like a seventeen year old criminal like her. Charlotte ate her meal and then the guard released her from her cell and lead her to the outdoors.
"Hello nice to see you again", mike said flirting with her.
Charlotte nodded and then was quiet for the rest of the worktime as usual.
"Do you ever talk", mike said
"As a matter of fact I do", said Charlotte annoyed at mike.
"Okay good lets talk then"
"Umm no", Charlotte said while sanding the edge of the stools. The dusk clouded her face and she started to cough.
This happened everyday never anything different if only something new could happen.
