We went on, asking crazy questions to perfectly normal questions. While we questioned, the adults all left to do "adult stuff" and the boys left to go downstairs and do other stuff. Finally, we asked it a few questions that changed my mindset."Do you know everything?" Jordynn asked without thinking. It answered with "Maybe".
"Do you know my secrets that I keep to myself?" Ashley asked. It answered with "Yes", then it spelled out "ASHLEY". She was certainly scared, but we kept throwing random questions at it.
"What are all of our names then?" Kate asked with a bit of pride in her voice. It answered by spelling out our names, "KATHRYN ASHLEY JORDYNN EMMA" but it also spelled out another name. A name we didn't know. The name was "CASSIE".
"Cassie?" Kate questioned. It spelled out "CASSIE" again.
"There isn't a Cassie here... Are you Cassie?" Ashley hesitated. It said "No", then it spelled out "JAMES".
"So you're James, right?" I asked slowly. James said "Yes".
"Then who is Cassie...?" Ashley asked. James spelled out "FRIEND".
"A friend...?" she asked. James said "Yes". The Planchette began to shake. It started slowly, then got faster and violent. By then we had all taken our fingers off, stirred up with wild fear. It rose into the air as an icy blue atmosphere surrounded it, still shaking crazily. A sharp blood curdling scream sounded off, and Ashley fell on the floor.
"ASHLEY!" Jordynn screeched and got down to help her. It looked as if she had just died and fallen over, but she rose up and floated in the air. She was most likely possessed, because her eyes were an icy blue like the air around the Planchette. If you're wondering why I haven't done a single thing about any of this, it's because I was too stricken with fear to say or do a single thing. I was frozen. I tried to get up, but I couldn't. I wanted to take Ashley's hand and bring her back down to gravity's control, but I couldn't. I couldn't move. I was literally frozen! Even if I wanted to move, I couldn't! I couldn't even turn my head to look at my cousin or sister, which is what I wanted to do most right now.
