Two heartbreaks

Dress shopping lexa

Lexa:
The rest of the day flew by too quickly. I had been in a really good mood since bio. I walked down the halls and my heart dropped Lewis was talking with Ginny and they were walking down the hall together. I stopped dead in my tracks. They left the building together surely going on a date or something.

“You ready”, osha asked who just found me.

I took a deep breath and said “yup”

“What happened to your good mood”, molly asked?

“I saw Lewis leave with Ginny”, I said.

After osha and molly had stopped talking about what a b*tch Ginny was being we finally left. Ginny didn’t know I liked Lewis but I was still mad at here. We hopped in Molly’s moms car and she drove us to the neighboring town where the mall was. She let us go off on our own but we would meet her at 6 in the food court at McDonald’s. We walked into forever 21 and browsed the isles. I kept reminding myself that we were just here for dresses. We took pictures of the dresses we liked on our phones and wrote what store we found them at so in the end we could find the perfect dress.

“Oh look at this one”, osha squealed.

I walked over.  It was a beautiful red dress which went a little past the knees. It had spaghetti straps which were clear. It would go perfect with Oshas strawberry blonde hair and bluish gray eyes.

“It would look lovely on you”, I exclaimed

Osha pulled out her phone and took a photo. Molly lead the way out of forever 21 and into Macies. I found the perfect dress there. It was white, to the knees, the top was lace, and it was a short sleeve shirt.

“Guys come check this one out”, I said.

Molly turned her head and osha walked over. Molly held out the price tag it was on sale for 32$. I took a picture but I knew I wouldn’t find something better.

When it was around six all three of us were starving so we headed to the food court to meet mollies mom. I spotted someone familiar and stopped dead in my tracks and so did molly and osha.

“Is that Ginny”, molly asked?

“Duh”, osha said.

“And...and Lewis”, I said.

She turned around and waved to us. All I could do is glare. Ginny almost gave me an apologetic look.

Lewis waved at me and I could hear him say “hi lexa”

I forced a smile and waved back.
