Personality and backstory
For personality, you can't be too creative. Do anything you like. However, I would avoid making OCs that are exactly like characters in the book. For example, a sarcastic RainWing would be identical to glory. Try making a shy RainWing instead? Basically, for personality use descriptive adjectives and maybe some hobbies you OC could enjoy? Make sure you include an equal amount of bad traits as good ones!On your OCs backstory, avoid making it too much like the books. Like a dragon raised by the Talons of Peace that attempts to escape. My personal favorites are the ones that live a normal life; we get to know them better and it's just a funny story. But creative ones are good too like, a dragon who's parents disappeared and recieves help from friends to look for them? Or a dragon who has no friends and has to prove that he/she is worth talking too? Try to avoid your OC being the queen/king or princess/prince, maybe have them be a messenger?
