Growing Up

For the following two years, Prince Darrion grew up as a fox. On a winter day, some teenaged boys came into the forest, and as a game killed Darrion’s foster parents. Later that day, a woodcutter and his 6-year-old daughter went on a walk in that forest. This little girl’s name was Ainsley. She had a kind and pure heart. Ainsley spotted the Fox, Darrion, and convinced her father to allow him to be her pet.
Together Ainsley and Darrion grew up. In secret Darrion spoke to Ainsley. When he first spoke people started getting angry and calling Ainsley a witch, so the two of them only spoke in private. Ainsley and Darrion were each other’s best friends, though Ainsley didn’t know that Darrion was the missing prince, Darrion didn’t know either.
