Akina

Akina

Akina is my American Akita, we found her when my brother and I were walking down the promenade, when we heard puppy cries, we didn't know where it was coming from, I was curious but not my brother, I found a passage way between two shops where the yelps seemed to be coming from. Then we found her, an American Akita, she would not move from her spot against the corner of the wall, but I picked her up and she seemed slightly more relaxed, she pawed my chest, "Hey Alexa, are we getting the sweets or what?" I ran home, sweets didn't matter now, only this little puppy...

"What did we tell you Alexa? Hm? No pets allowed!" my mom said sternly, picking the puppy's hairs of my hoodie, "But mom! Look at her! She was just left there in a dodgy alleyway down the prom! She needs food, water, a ba-" "Yes! Of course! A bath! If this mutt is even being held in this house, he needs a bath! Now go! And take my blah blah blah.." It was only then that I realized I shouldn't have made the water so deep, yeah, it was alright for the Akita, but the water was splashed all over the walls of the curtains! Ever heard the saying "A mother always knows"? It's not a myth, mom came straight in, "I knew there was something going on, " she said, hands on hips, "I'll clean up, just dry the dog in your bedroom." from that moment, I knew that my mom would be watching me like a hawk. I dried the puppy and he was even poofier than he was before, "Aw! You're a little bear! And you know what, that reminds me, you need a name...I would call you Alexis but it's similar to my name, so...How about, Akita? No! Akina!" she started rolling over, "Guess that's a yes then?" I had always wanted to do this...Bring out my dog bed! It was a beanbag that was too small for me, so I called it a dog bed, "It's an honor, Akita-I mean, Akina!" she sat like a queen, and she was mine...
