Judgement Hall Part 4 (final)
The kid wanted to forgive me. But y’know things like that take time. I wanted them to feel more at ease before they decided. So, I tried to put it away. Instead it thought I was making a choice for them. It was painful. As I fall back in pain the glow from my stomach showed. They asked what it was. They didn’t need to bother with it, seriously. Frisk inched closer and lifted up my shirt. Well, as you would guess they didn’t like what they seen. In a panic they asked if I was gonna eat them too. After what they did the first time? I don’t think so. Now, generally I made a joke. But it was at the wrong time. They ran without giving me a chance to explain to them. I ran after them. Damn it, I lost sight of them. They’ll die out here, and that isn’t any punchline. I found them by Toriel’s door. With that evil flower. Man, did I want to kill the weed but with Frisk right there, NO.

I heard what that weed said, well some of it. It was pretty cool they refused tho. They’re scared, and I could feel it. Frisk wanted to die right where they stood. I wasn’t gonna kill them. Well, I guess they didn’t read too much about souls. The thing is something scary (me), can just seem misunderstood. Just like they were. I wasn’t blaming them for what had happened. I was just asking them to try to understand the unfamiliar. Hell knows I did. Well, as I knew, they didn’t take my word. Guess it’s a good thing that I picked up a book on the way. I explained to them about the book. I told Frisk I was just trying to keep the souls alive, y’know. It was freezing out there and it was getting dark. I kept telling them I wouldn’t hurt them. Trust me I’ve learned my lesson. After I walked Frisk back to my house, I gave them Pap’s bed. It was nice to have someone else here. Maybe I’m not sure the kid was okay, but. They needed sleep so badly. So I guess I wasn’t expecting to be woken up. They said the book had a lot of big words. I’d heard this excuse before. Back when Pap and I were small.

Papyrus would pretend his books were hard to read. But it really meant. “I had a bad dream, and I don’t want to be alone” So I went along with it. We went through the book and just as I thought, Frisk had no trouble. But there was another reason why they visited. They wanted to see the souls again. They wanted to save them, to do what they can to make it up to them. I noticed something different in that moment. Then I understood exactly what it was. Their determination came home.
I took them to my lab. We were going to bring the souls back. This machine needed their determination to get started. From there it can duplicate the dust that’s inside and recreate a body. Well, it’s time to undo Chara’s big mess.

I had my brother back, that’s all that matters. Now it was time for everyone else. I was really surprised to know that unlike Frisk, they were conscious. They were conscious their entire time as a soul. They saw and heard what I did, everything. I guess that’s the difference between humans and monsters. We all made a decision to pay the king a visit. So walking through the Judgement Hall. Felt kinda good for once. Maybe it was cuz, like Gaster said. I was in good company. But the feeling didn’t last. Because, honestly. There was still someone who hadn’t bit the dust. Scratch that, two people who had somehow gotten their hands on the human souls. Who had Chara’s determination and the flowers body. But tibia honest, it wasn’t something we hadn’t considered. At least between Frisk and I. Will, Mettaton’s body is still undergoing repair. But hey! He’s still obnoxious as usual. (MTT: I'm FABULOUS)
Frisk chose to fight for us, for our freedom. If that doesn’t prove their innocence, then I don’t know what will. Not everyone was as trusting obviously. But, through time we all recovered to face a new world.
