DIS (like the underworld)

DIS (like the underworld)

I visit the underworld. Ooh I hope there's not spiders.... very spooky. Not for the faint of heart.

Not Good

"An entrance to the underworld..." I start. I stay calm, but on they inside I'm freaking out. Why would one be here? Unguarded? Anything could go in...or OUT.
Annabeth starts to pace. "We can't just let this happen. We have to warn the gods. I really wish Percy was here..."
I explode into a fit of coughing like I do every time she mentions Percy.
"Uh, Percy? What would he do if he was here? Trip over something?"
Annabeth glares at me. I cross my arms and stare back. She sighs.
"Whatever. Percy isn't here, so deal with it. We had better go doen and check it out. " I say finally.
Annabeth nods. "I'll call my dad, and you...you just, uh, go get yourself together." she adds, pulling out her cell phone and shakily dialing the number.
Get myself together? I don't understand what she means until I notice that I'm shaking uncontrolably. I look at Annabeth for a moment.
"Hi, dad. Um, I have to go off and save the world..." She stops and glares at me and I realize that this is personal for her. I blink stupidly for a second before running off into a thicket of trees overgrown with ivy. I'm crying. Why am I crying? I wipe my tears away and get serious. Walking over to an old, rusty water spout on the opposite side of the house from Annabeth, I turn the handle, waiting a moment before a stream of brownish water spits unevenly out. Yuck.
I fish a drachma out of my pocket and throw it into the water. "Oh, Iris, goddess of rainbows, show me Camp Half Blood!"
The dirty water becomes, in an instant, a TV screen of Camp, except disrupted and messed up like a show with a bad signal. I'm in the Big House and I hear hoof beats. Seconds later, Chiron approaches. He looks surprised for at moment at seeing me, but soon regains his composure.
"Are you dying? Is Chronos back? Is someone murdered?" He starts. Doesn't even bother to say Hi. How rude!
I stifle a laugh. I've never seen a centaur blush so much before.
"Well, what is it?" Chiron brays indignantly.
"We--Annabeth and I-- found this entrance to the underworld and stuff, so we're going to go check it out, thought we'd tell you, bye!"
I turn the spout of water off just as he starts to protest. Simple as that.
