Faith

"Faith, your presence is requested at the Choosing!"
I look up at my name. Hope is standing there, her eyes shining.
"Me?" I ask, surprised.
"Yes! They want you to help Bliss prepare for the Reading!"
I throw her a suspicious look, as if she was joking. Why would they choose me? The Choosing is held every two years, where three mortals are chosen to become an angel, like us. When they are chosen, they are given a name that represents their job. For instance, I am Faith. My job is to make sure that God's                      people always have confidence in others; that they have faith in them. Hope, my best friend, was born to keep people optimistic. Our names determine our roles in life. As I stand up to go, I can't help wondering what the new angel's name will be.
