The First, and Definitely NOT the Last!
On Friday, I sat with Aaron and his nerdy friends at lunch. After fishing an apple out of my lunch bag, a quiet nerdy girl tapped me on the shoulder."Yeah?" I whispered. I figured that if she was acting so secretive, it might be a secret.
"You know Aaron has a crush on you?" She said. Honestly, she looked proud that she knew some gossip. Only the popular preppy girls gossiped.
I nodded with one eyebrow arched.
She cast a disappointing look on her face to show that she was wishing to surprise me.

After school, I walked home with Aaron. We chatted about each other, and school, and just random stuff.
Then, we walked a bit in silence. After a few minutes, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me over to one of the trees. I noticed that he was holding my hand. It was warm with callouses, like he had been working out. Weird.
Suddenly, he pulled me forward and planted a warm, wet kiss on my cheek. I gaped. He closed his eyes.
"I love you, Summer."
And since romantic things make me feel lightheaded, I had weird things to say.
"Aaron, why are you talking about a season?"
"I'm not. I'm talking about you!" He smiled, and kissed me again.
This time though, I felt like I could trust him, and since I found myself in love too, I kissed him back.
He gave me a smile. Then, we continued walking home. I found myself sighing occasionally. Then, we went our separate ways.
