OC Story #1
Dawn's POVSkylar, Crystal, and I lay side by side.
"I'm not the only one who heard that, right?" Skylar asked.
"You're not." Crystal said.
"What was it?" I said, my voice cracking from fear.
Tonight had started off normal.
Note how I said STARTED OFF.
Now it was anything but normal.
We'd heard The Noise.
It was like moaning,
almost inhuman.
Crystal, Skylar, and I had just wanted to have a fun sleepover.
When we went to bed, we started to hear The Noise.
We huddled close together,
"Safety in numbers, right?" I asked.
They both nodded and we continued sitting in silence.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
We struggled out of our sleeping bags and dashed under the covers of my bed.
I could hear my heart THUMP THUMP THUMP like the beat of a drum.
I heard my mom answer the door.
"DON'T!" I wanted to scream, but my throat closed up in fear.
I heard a female voice say:
"hey. I'm Heather, this is Crimson."
I listened in.
Those girls didn't make that noise, did they?
We're sisters and we were left home alone for the night." I heard another female voice speak.
"We heard this moaning sound and well, we were pretty freaked out."
"Since our parents aren't home, we rushed over here for safety."
"I guess you can stay here, my daughter is having a sleepover with some friends,
why don't you go up and join her?"
I heard the girls climb up the stairs.
We all got out from under the tangled mass of blankets and sat on top of the bed.
The girls, Crimson and Heather walked in.
Crimson had long black hair and blue eyes.
Heather was a Blonde and had blue eyes like Crimson.
Had it not been for the hair, they were almost identical.
"Hey..." Crimson said awkwardly.
"Hi, we moved here last week, our parents went out to dinner and left us home alone.
We heard this weird moaning sound and rushed over here. I hope you don't mind." Heather explained.
"Yeah, I'm sorry we barged in on your sleepover." Crimson added.
"It's okay, we heard the noise too!" Crystal said.
"I'm Crystal by the way."
"Yeah, I heard it. It freaked us all out really bad.
My name is Skylar." Skylar said.
"I'm Dawn. Nice to meet you guys. We were scared really bad by the noise."
We went back to our respective sleeping bags,
and Heather and Crimson grabbed some blankets and lied down on the floor.
Suddenly we heard The Noise again.
The Noise was followed by a knock at the door.
We looked at each other and hid under blankets.
Like THAT would protect us.
At least it made us feel somewhat safer.
This time my father opened the door.
"What the..." he said and fainted from shock.
A creature entered our house.
I wanted to scream, but that would attract the things attention.
I heard another "thing" enter.
My mother saw, she fainted too.
The things would come to my room soon.
I looked at my friends and if by some unspoken agreement we dashed to hiding places.
Crimson managed to squeeze into one of my mostly empty chests.
Heather squished into the chest next to her.
Skylar hid behind my bookshelf,
a good place if I say so myself.
Crystal and I hid in the trundle under my bed.
It was a storage trundle, so we had a little bit of room.
This took us about a minute.
I could here the things coming up the stairs.
We stood still and barely breathed.
The things opened the door to my bathroom,
and then grunted when they found no one.
They must be doing a basic once-over
I thought to myself.
Most likely none of us would be found.
Suddenly the things entered my room.
I almost laughed at their appearances.
The first one was a large glob of spaghetti with two eyes,
The second, was a large piece of ravioli with two eyes and a chunk of the corner missing.
"I hope you ordered a side of scares..." the spaghetti said.
"Things are about to get RABID!" the ravioli exclaimed.
The looked around the room and saw no one.
"Hm..." one thought aloud.
The spaghetti then opened one of my chests,
RIGHT NEXT TO CRIMSON!
My heart beat faster as the thing closed the chest,
obviously thinking there was no other hiding place.
The ravioli opened my closet and there was no one there.
Thank GOODNESS that's not where I hid.
They left the room and clomped down the stairs.
I heard them exit the house and I'm pretty sure they went next door to Crimson and Heather's place.
We emerged from hiding.
"I'm so glad you're all okay!" Heather said and gave a group hug.
"Me too! Did you see when that thing went right next to me?
It smelled like marinara sauce!" Crimson said with a nervous laugh.
"That was the scariest thing that has ever, and will EVER happen to me." Skylar said.
"Agreed, I NEVER want to go through that again.
Even though those pasta guys looked funny,
they DEFINITELY were NOT harmless." Crystal chimed in.
"I think we should call them... Creepy Pastas! Like those horror stories online." I added.
We went downstairs to check my mom and dad.
They had woken up, and hugged my when they saw me.
"Dawn! You and your friends are safe!" my mom said with obvious relief.
"What happened?!" my father asked.
We all explained the pastas search through the house,
and what happened when they came to my room.
We then called the police and told them about the pastas on the lose.
We didn't tell them they were pastas though, we just used the term "creatures".
That was the scariest experience we've all been through.
But now I have Crimson and Heather as friends,
and we'll have quite the scary story to tell.
Also, Heather and Crimson will be going to our school!
So I guess this story had a happy ending.
Though the Creepy Pastas have scared us pretty bad.
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad we survived!
