Flickering Flame Magic
Well... 2nd day today. And for some reason I'm just as nervous.I was absent yesterday though. I fell ill and had to stay home. Thank Saliora I'm feeling better today.
What if someone else tries to bully me today?
But thankfully no one bullies me, though they still glare at me.
I walk past Sonic's classroom, and he sees me. "Hey Hayley."
I look towards him and our eyes meet. I smile at him and walk inside.
"I heard Lightning apologised yesterday."
"Yeah, when this jaguar with him threatened to slice his throat open if he didn't."
He can't help laughing at that comment, and neither can I.
But as I laugh, my fingertips light a small flame.
"That's odd," I say. "Since when could I do that?"
"You can control fire?" Sonic looks at me in awe.
"Both hand and staff," I reply. "I can even make it take the shape of a picture in my mind."
"Cool! Could you show me?"
So I open up my palm, revealing a small, flickering flame, and close my eyes. I picture the symbol of the school. It's clear in my head.
When I open my eyes, I gently blow into the flames, and they scatter around the room in different colours. Some are yellow, some blue, some red, some green, but most are purple.
The flames form together into the symbol, but with an added fire effect around the border.
"Whoa!" Seems I've impressed Sonic. "That's class, that!"
We then hear someone else's voice. "That was really cool." We look at the door and see a black hedgehog with red stripes.
I smile, blushing at his compliment.
"You have style, Hayley," he says, approaching me. "I'm Shadow. I'll be your fighting teacher." He offers his hand to me and I shake it.
"Nice to meet you," I reply.
Just in time too. Because the first bell rings. "I'd better get going," I say, before I run off to Maths.
