I wake up and find that the space next to me is empty. Where's Sonic? Did something bad happen? I get out of his bed and walk to my room. Its dry again. I open my wardrobe and quickly get dressed, before straightening my hair and heading downstairs.
"Hey Jackie," Silver says.
"Hi Silver," I reply.
"We made you breakfast." He gestures towards a plate of waffles at the dining table.
"Wow, I... thank you," is all I say. But as I sit down, I notice how gloomy everyone's looking. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"It's nothing, really," Silver replies.
"Don't give me that. You've been looking at each other that way for what? 5 minutes STRAIGHT? What's bugging you?"
"Well," Knuckles says. "After that mission that you, Sapphire and Alexis went on, we weren't able to retrieve the Emerald."
What?!
My ears drop and I look to the floor in utter devastation.
"Funny," Alexis says, smirking. "You might want to rephrase that Knux."
"Why?"
Alexis takes out a green gem that I've never seen before. "Ta da!"
"No way!" Sonic shouts, running towards Alexis. "How'd you get it?"
"Oh, I have my ways," Alexis replies.
Tails then walks in, having heard our conversation. "We need to find where the next one is though. For all we know, Eggman could be hunting for it right-"
"Whoa Tails, can we get a chance to relax first?" Sonic cuts Tails off. "We can't work 24/7, or I'd be one. Tired. Hedgehog."
"I think we've got similar minds there, Sonic," Sapphire says, holding tickets to a concert. "That's why I got these."
"What are they?" I ask.
"Tickets to see Sonic Underground live! Alexis is gonna be singing too, and another special guest!"
OH MY GOD! I HAD NO IDEA SONIC WAS IN A BAND!
"I didn't know Alexis had a good singing voice," I say.
"She does," Shadow replies, as everyone shares a high 5.
"So, when is it?" Espio asks.
Sonic walks into the room. "It's tonight. 9pm we start."
"Wait a sec," Sapphire says. "I got these tickets before Jackie came. What do we do?"
Aww man. And I was SO looking forward to seeing Sonic up on that stage rocking out!
