Chapter 7 ~ The Pheonix ~

It was a nice day when one of the knights was out patronling. It sudently herd a weird bird like noise. It jumped and got his sword up. He felt kind of warm, he turned and saw this HUGE fire bird. He never came back home that day….
Gaius, Bella, Arthur and the king with a few knights were where the dead wolf body was. “Sire, it seems like it is completely burned, there is nothing I can do, it has been dead for 4 hours or so, I am sorry” Gaius said as it was inspecting the place. Bella was looking around. She found some paper almost burned up but there was something on it. “Hey I found something!” She said. Arthur came and looked at it and read “Fire bird”. Gaius looked at it with wide eyes “Sire, are you sure that is what is says?” he asked with a little bit of fear and horror in his voice.”Yes, Gaius is that a bad thing?” Bella asked. “My lord, if I am correct…” he said as he pulled out a book from his bag “Fire bird is also known as a Pheonix, a huge bird of fire wich burns the victims to almost ash. It can be barely herd and can only be founf in July, the month we are in!” He said reading and showing a picture of the beast. “Is there any way to kill this creature?”the king asked. “It is a creature of magic, so it can only be killed with it” said Gaius knowing the king will not be very happy.”No! There must be another way! Magic is completely forbidden!” the king said with a frown on his face. “Find another way, no magic!” he said as he walked off with a set of knights guarding him. Gaius sighted “Sire, you know there is no other way…”. Arthur looked at him and said “Never say that, there must be a way!”. Arthur walked off to. Bella said “I guess I am suppose to kill it?”. “Yes, I belive so, since they do not want any magic involved.” Gaius said as he walked away. When they got home Bella studied the creature. Later that day a bird like creature landed in the middle of the town walking to the castle. When it reached the gates it let out a bird like noise, but way louder and scarier. Arthur and some other guards went outside to fight the beast of. “He wont make it!” Bella said as she ran out the door. The creature attacked Arthur. Arthur tried to stab it but instead he got thrown into the wall. The other knights were pushed over, 2 of them on fire. Some other men came with water buckets to help. The beast was just about to finish Arthur off when.. “Quemes en cliqddeues!” Bella said. He eyes turned yellow and the beast was thrown back. The beast turned around and fled being a bit dizzy. Arthur stood up wounded. Bella and Gaius ran towards him to help “You’ll be fine, you’ll be fine” Bella said to comfort him as he just fainted.
The next day Bella was waiting listening what the king and Gaius were saying. “My lord, there is no other way, you have seen, Arthur almost died from that attack!” Gaius said. “I’m not allowing magic in this kingdom. In Silverstream magic is forbidden!” the king said as he walked of. At that point Arthur opened his eyes “B-bella? What happened?” Bella was pleased to see him on his feet and said “ Well you just got you butt kicked while fighting that creature.” she giggled.
Later that day in the evening while Bella was looking for the creature she saw Lancelot leave. “Where are you going?” she asked. “What are you doing here, is the real question, because I am going to fight the creature” he responded “Whoa whoa whoa , no your not it can only be killed by magic!” she said. Lancelot rolled his eyes “Do you really belive in that stuff?” he asked. “Uhmm yes?” she said. Right as she was going to explain why she was there Lancelot took of with high speed. Bella ran to try to stop him. A few minutes later a bird like noise crumbled through the forest. ~Oh no!~ Bella thought as she was still running after Lancelot. When Lancelot finally found the creature he got his spear and charged to it. Bella rememberd that if you try killing the creature you might die, or most likely die. She had to do something and quick, it was to late to stop him so she took her chances, it was dangerous but she did it….
“Hammerr dooolllyy ugghhrr spear liii” she said. Her eyes turned bright yellow. Lancelot’s spear was full of electricity. The end was just like thunder, filled with power. As it hit the bird, it let out a scream that none had herd before and fell down, loosing  the flame, becoming ash. Even Bella was quite surprised that she did that. Lancelot came towards her and tried to say something but Bella interrupted “Well seems like it was only blabber, you killed it without magic” she smiled trying to hide the fact that she did use magic on the spear. Lancelot had a serious look on his face “I know you used magic on that spear, but you saved my life. I understand that magic is not evil, the user of it can make it evil or good.” He smiled. “Your secret is safe with me”. Bella was relieved knowing that Lancelot understood. She came back home and told Gaius everything that happened. “I hope he keeps it safe…” Gaius mumbled. “I’m sure he will!” Bella said as she walked to her room for a good deserved rest. She was happy she could save a life and prove to herself she has many good friends that she can trust. She knew magic wasn’t bad, know she was sure that she and Gaius were  not the only ones thinking that.
