A secret is revealed

"Come on, slow coach. I'm beating you to your own home," Sonic called from behind him, but looking forward he saw Tails had already reached his home. He screeched to a halt, his jaw agape. "What the heck? How did you...?"
"You're telling me you forgot that I can fly," Tails asked. From the way he said it, he said it like he was challenging Sonic's intelligence.
"I knew that, but since when were your tails fast enough to beat me here? That's insane!"
"Come on. Let's just drop this and go inside," Tails opened the door to his own - which also happened to be his lab - with Sonic close behind. He moved the mouse on his hand-built computer, and the screen revealed a DNA sector that Sonic recognised as his own.
"Hang on. You brought me in here for this? What's my... whatever it's called-" Sonic began, but he didn't have time to finish his sentence, because Tails interrupted him.
"DNA. Just look close at the screen. It'll come clear."
Sonic did. And what he saw left a shock on his face as Tails pressed the Enter key. The computer began a search of similar DNA to Sonic's and found one result. Tails looked to Sonic, but Sonic still faced the computer screen, his jaw agape once more. He knew handling Eggman's crazy machines was bizarre, but something like this?
"Says here you have a sibling. A younger one. A sister," Tails was also shocked at this. He had no idea about this secret that was hidden for so long either.
"A sister?! Are you crazy? If my mom had another child, she would have TOLD me! But no, she didn't."

Just outside, Amy and Lea-Anne were just outside the house. Amy was right to ask Tails for help; she knew Tails had enough IQ to find who Lea-Anne's brother truly was. Tails was smart enough to figure out anything. She knocked on the door, slightly pushing it open. "Tails? What's going on?"
"Oh hey Amy," Tails replied. "Didn't notice you were here. Who's your friend?"
"This is-" Amy started. Lea-Anne put her hand over Amy's mouth. A sign she wanted to say her own name.
    "I'm Lea-Anne, but I prefer Lea."
"Well, I'm Tails," Tails began, leading the girls inside. "And this is Sonic."
When Sonic saw Lea-Anne, he felt a twitch inside him. Like something that was lost for so long had been found.
    So did Lea-Anne.
They walked towards each other, and Sonic saw Lea-Anne's eyes glisten and glow. He tried to find the words to say something, but he couldn't quite say it full, "You're my..."
    "And you're my..." Lea-Anne replied.
They both knew. And Tails could see it too.
A brother and a sister, united for the first time.

It was my first time writing a story. I didn't know what to do so I made this. And yes, I tried to copy the writing style of the author that wrote Divergent. Guilty!
