Best Friends (long)
*Tana's P.O.V.* Silver began to walk away."Come on, Tana!" He called, but I just couldn't move. For some reason. I couldn't get myself to follow. After a few minutes, he sighed and I was suddenly levitated off of the ground.
"sorry, seems to be the only way to get you to move." Then he continued walking away, this time with me floating in the air following. It was really weird up in the air like that. There was what resembled a light blue bubble around me, and I had no control. After a little while, he put me down. I looked up to see that we had arrived by a white house. Silver unlocked the door and wen inside, and I slowly entered behind him. I was in the living room. There was a light blue carpet and a purple couch. A T.V. was against the wall opposite from the sofa and wooden coffee table. I stood in the doorway until Silver told me to go ahead and have a seat.
I walked to the sofa and sat down. After a moment, the white hedgehog came back with a sandwich.
"Here," He said, giving it to me.
"Th-thanks." I looked at it for a moment. With my way of life I had never had any kind of sandwich before. Silver raised an eyebrow at me.
"It's ham and cheese," he said, "haven't you ever had a ham and cheese sandwich before?" I shook my head.
"I-I've never had any s-sandwiches before..." Silver burst out laughing and I blushed. Sheesh, what's so funny? Anyway, he calmed down as I took a bite.
*Silver's P.O.V.* She had never had a sandwich before?!?! Man! That was one of the silliest things I had ever heard! Surely everyone's had a sandwich? She took a bite and I quickly stopped laughing and watched her. Her first time, right? She might have a good reaction. She just chewed it for a moment with a thoughtful expression. The minute she swallowed, her eyes lit up and next thing I knew she was stuffing her face. I grinned. She's something great!
"So, Tana," I began, "Where do you live?" She frowned. I inwardly winced, wrong thing to say!
"I-I've never actually had a real home." she looked at the floor, "and now, I don't even have Sweterf!"
"What do you mean?" Tears formed in her eyes again. SILVER YOU IDIOT!!!!!
"I grew up on the streets."
"Oh..." I looked at Tana, who was staring at the floor. "hey, you said everyone has powers, what are yours?" This has to be a safe topic, right? She looked at me and wiped her tears away.
"Well, I-I don't really use it that much...."
"May I see?"
"Um, OK." She got up and picked up a potted plant, a small flower bush, and placed it on the coffee table. She then whispered to the flowers, something I couldn't understand, and began. She made the flowers move around and form shapes, and made them pop out from the bush sometimes, then making them shrink back. It was quite amazing what she could do with that plant. Tana then stopped and put the plant back, murmuring "Thank you." to it.
"so, about you not having a home..."
"Yeah?"
"If you'd like, you could live here with me. I have an extra bedroom..." She appeared stunned.
"O-Ok!" She brightened up a lot. Without warning, she ran up and hugged me. "Thank you!"
Ever since then, we've been best friends!
