Secret Hogwarts Students

The other side

It's April and I am starting to prepare for finial exams. Jessica and I take turns helping Draco and Hermione and I are always studying together. Sometimes I even help Neville out, God knows he needs it. I'm feeling confident about the exams.
"Hey Taylor! Are you ready for breakfast yet?" It's Saturday and I'm braiding my hair because after breakfast Cedric is taking me out to the quidditich pitch to practice. "yeah! now I am!" I come down in my flying clothes and join Hermione. "How could you ever get on a broomstick. Those things are flying death traps." I laugh. We join Harry and Ron. Hermione and Harry instantly start talking in a hushed voice while Ron tries to make talk with me but I won't let him. "Why are you guys always whispering?" I finally ask. They all exchange glances and finally Harry gives a slight nod. Hermione whispers to me about what they think is going on with Snape and the stone. "How did you find out about the stone?" I ask. Again Hermione launches into a story about how they found out. "Sounds to me like you don't know what you're up against." I admit. Harry and Ron look at me bewildered. "How could you say that?" they ask. "What? Do you think that Fluffy is the only thing guarding that stone. That stone happens to be one of the most known powerful objects in the wizarding world." Again I get confused glances. "Look. I promised I wouldn't say anything about it but I'm not, I'm just giving you some key notes. I would know your Herbology and Potions. Oh and I would get good at chess." I then walk off and go to sit with Katie Bell.
"So what position do you think you will try out for?" Cedric asks me. "Honestly I think the only thing I can make it as is a Chaser. Oliver is a great keeper, Harry's a seeker and Fred and George are great beaters. I probably won't make it." Cedric runs me through some chaser drills and makes me work on my dodging skills.
By the end of training I am very tired. I hurry back to the castle and have just enough time to grab my play book, take a shower, and redo my hair before I head back down to the quidditich pitch. I stay and watch as Gryffindor practices and then as it turns out that Slytherin practices next. I watch every move and learn every play. I'm getting ready for next year's tryouts and nothing is going to stop me from making it.
On my way back to the castle I pass Neville. No sooner had I taken five steps past him when I heard him fall and then a couple boys snicker. I turned around and watched as Draco embarrassed Neville into the next century. I walked up to Draco and yelled, "You jerk! Just because you know magic doesn't mean you can perform it on someone!" Draco's face turned pale. I did the counter curse to Neville's foot lock and then stormed away. I could feel my eyes start to water but I refused to cry. Draco was running after me and screaming my name!
I slowed down so that he was closer and then I whipped around. "WHAT!" I screamed. I could feel people looking at us, some where whispering. "I didn't see you there." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. "Yeah. I noticed. That doesn't change it though. Why should my presence change anything." He turned red and told Crabbe and Goyal to leave us. "Taylor, I'm sorry." He said. Now people were looking at him funny. I could tell that he meant it. "I'm not the one you need to apologize to." With that I left him standing alone. People's eyes followed me until I walked around the corner.
I spend the rest of the day in the common room and only went out for dinner. I was starving.
