First day
I got to room with Hermione! I was hoping I would because I heard she is really smart and I might need help with this magic stuff. Jessica and I used to share a room by McGonagall's so its really weird not to have her here by my side but then again I spent previous years sleeping in other dorms with my older friends so I wasn't always with her and sometimes she would do the same so it wasn't like I left her all the time. This other girl, Pavarotti Patil, who I also shared a room with has a twin too but her twin got sorted into Ravenclaw. I became fast friends with them. We unpacked and then went to bed. No one did much talking because we were all so tired and excited!I went down to breakfast with Hermione but I ended up sitting with Katie. She was so excited that I finally got to start.
"I wish you could try out for the house team. Then we would see each other more, we are both going to be busy this year." She said. I really wanted to try out and I thought I should be able to because I had been flying for years. Schedules were handed out and I was told I needed to go see Dumbledore before breakfast was over. I left and went to his office. Jessica followed me and we walked in.
"Are your classes good? Are you both excited?" He asked. We nodded and he continued, "Ok. Would you girls do something for me? I would like you to keep what you already know on the down low. So if you don't do well in the beginning that's ok. I just don't want you to showoff. This isn't a secret or anything, you can tell who you want about your past but it would be best if you didn't say much. I don't want to seem like I play favorites. All the rules apply to you, you are students now. Have fun and off you go."
And we left him to go to our first class. I had Potions and she had Herbology. I was hoping today would live up to my expectations!
