Monday 20th June, 1955- To Love Spark

My dear,
            how could you even think for a moment that I'd marry that idiotic headcase of a woman! She's 90 odd years old Love! I thought you'd win back your sense of humor! But anyway, you are not the only one who keeps their promises, I'm the other...I'm coming back! 4 years spent in this army camp and I'm coming back home! I should be back in about a week, I have no money you see, I spent the last of my money on this bouquet of black and white roses. Just in case something ever happens to me, you'll have this to remember me by, as they never rot, even when you don't water them, they remind me of you, you've never lost your beauty...

PS Tell your warlock of a mother that I don't care if she still hates my guts as I bought her the finest Swiss truffles so she can say what she likes..

PPS Do you like Leonbergers? You've probably heard of them. I came across a man who breeds them....I know you love dogs x

PPPS I have a spare £600, it is in the envelope somewhere, unless your mother's taken it for herself...
