I'm lucky. I know it. My best friend Dylan is the most popular girl in school. It isn't because she has had the most boyfriends, or that she's super kind. She can barely keep a conversation going without insulting the other person.  
It's because of her spirit.
The first time, I think, she did something wrong in school, was when she was four, during the Pledge of Allegiance. The teacher tried to get her to say the words, but she refused. "What if we have a different religion?" she asked. "What if we don't want to pledge to God?" The teacher was confused. From that day on, every teacher Dylan has had goes through the same speech at the beginning of the year. So Dylan never does it.
You might think that's lame, but keep in mind, she was four then.
