Chapter 1
All I saw was Redpaw and I, underneath a shield of ice. Trapped. Redpaw kicked furiously as he tried to bolt up, to break the glass, but I bit into his hind leg and he sank back to my level. He pulled a sore face at me but I ignored. Then he had an alarmed expression, and soon he was pulled down to the bottom of the river. So was I.
I gasped crazily I was brought to life. Everything went fuzzy, then focused, and I found myself next to Redpaw. He was still lying there. Still. 'Oh no!' I screamed in my head, jumped to fight and nudged at Redpaw, making sure he's alive.
"Grr." He growled, eyes closed and lying motionless. He seemed dead but alive.
"What WERE you doing!?" Growled Tigertooth, Sandglaze sat there disappointed. I felt guilty since Sandglaze had never looked at me like that. He seemed to admire me, but not now.
"We- I- I- We!" Was all I managed to get out.
"You what?" Sandglaze asked for Tigertooth.
"We were exploring! And fell into the river. Then the ice formed! How did you get us out?" I forgot about everything and licked my paw, turned then bounded off back to camp.
I muttered things in my head and didn't watch my step.
"Mrowl!" I yowled as I tripped. Blacked out and forgot.
Redpaw
I was waiting for Tigertooth to leave. I wanted to wake up by Sandglazes stare, not Tigertooths mysterious and nasty glare. I heard paw steps and opened my eyes seeing that it was Sandglaze who left.
"Good. I don't have to carry you!" He scolded. I coughed and tried my best to act sick, confused and very tired.
"Fine!" He sighed angrily and picked me up by his jaw.
When we were at camp, Moonclan ran to us and beckoned me to see the new kit. A kit! Oh boy! Who's kit? How old? I was too excited, I bolted to the nursery and found a furry white ball curled up by my mother. My mother. I have a brother. Great.
"Your new brother, Redpaw. Snowkit. Take a look!" My mother mewed softly and I stared at the horrible thing. I didn't wish or ask for one. I grew angry at Starclan and peered at the fluff ball in front of me. His eyes. One brown one blue. Weird. I snorted and padded off grumpily. And I was pounced on, by Darkpaw.
"Congratulations!" He smiled.
"About what!? A horrible lump of fluffy fur!?" I shouted.
"Alright. I know. I felt disgust when my sis was born, then I became the big brother hero and taught her to be a mini warrior kit!"
I had to admit. That made me better. So I smiled.
