into the wild unknown! (part 1 of 2)
"Well, I'm off then" Ik' than said as he changed from to go in search to find the precious root. The whole tribe wished him luck on his quest, for the all feared what would happen if the brood mother were to pass before a ceremony for the new brood mother, would be able to be done, but it takes months of planning to execute the ceremony correctly, and it was clear that the brood mother wouldn't be able to last that long in her current state. After about half of the travel Ik' than took a break on the top of a mountain, he transformed back into his humanoid form to take a short rest. He then noticed a small cabin a short distance away from where he was and he heard moans of what sounded like a young child coming from it, so he went to see why everything seemed so strange. He opened the door to find a small semi see through child slightly glowing in the corner crying. "Are you okay?" he asked as he walked across the room. She looked up at him, and replied "Aren't you scared of me?" Ik' than answered "No, there is no reason would I have to be scared of you, you don't seem scary at all, but what is your name, and what are you doing here?" she stood up "I do not recall ever having a name, my parents never gave me one before I died as far as I know, I found this place here, abandoned, like me, so I decided I would stay here, it would be fitting for someone like me..."
"You have never had a name?" he asked surprised "No" was the simple answer he received. he then noticed a hole in the middle of her forehead slightly covered by her long hair it looked as though it had been stabbed. "However you died, it clearly wasn't accidental, if it had anything to do with the hole in your forehead anyway..." she looked away, "It wasn't, at least I don't think so, no one knows who killed me and they couldn't find the killer so my soul is at unease until he is caught, but that happened a really long time ago, so they will never catch him." she told him. "For what it's worth, that is sad to hear, and I can't do anything for it, but you are welcome to come with me if you so choose, it's better than staying here for eternity." he calmly and reassuringly told her. she smiled but then started to frown"Do you really mean that, I don't want to be a burden, and I would hate to get in your way..." Ik' than chuckled a little bit "I mean it, you can come along, and don't worry, you won't get in the way, but the choice is still yours if you want to come or not. It's more fun to travel with someone else than alone anyway!" he said. Her eyes grew wide and excited "Yes, I would love come come along, it's extremely lonely here." he smiled "Well then, let's get going, I need to get to the desert by nightfall..."
