Behaviour
Sheep tend to wander a lot, but they will never leave an area fully. What I mean is that if you spawn a sheep in a certain random area, the sheep would still be there the next day of minecraft. Sheep do not attack anything, but they do run and jump to try and escape if something attacks them.Sheep are definetely not the smartest mob, but they're certainly not the dumbest. Unlike slime, if there's a hole deeply in the ground, a sheep will not walk into it mindlessly and die. However, sheep will follow you if you are holding wheat. If a person uses wheat to get the sheep to follow them, it is possible for the person to lead the sheep into the hole.
Sheep usually don't like being trapped in a barrier or gate, but it easy to lead them In again if youh
ave wheat in your hands. Once they're trapped and you no longer have wheat in your hands, the sheep will most of the time try to getout if you leave an entrance open.
Sheep usually try to jump something that's 1 or 2 blocks high.
Sheep look at the player when the player is close to it.
