Rose gave Beth a quick hug as Tessa waited eagerly. Next, Rose hugged Tessa, who hugged her back. Tessa and Beth exchanged smiles."Move along, kids! We haven't got all day, you know!" MGounty sighed.
The year had been a total success, they all passed the exam by a mile, and Tessa had ditched Flynn. (who got suspended for letting other students into a different common room!) She proclaimed that she had never "liked him" anyways, but that got a "few" eye rolls!
Sure, Hufflepuff had won house cup, and Slytherin had nearly won all the Quidditch games, but again, they still had 6 more years, and 6 more chances, right?
Tessa's owl, Winter, squawked with dignified impatience, and Beth's frog croaked in response.
After giving a few longing glances back at their new home, the trio climbed aboard the Hogwarts Express.
And as the train became smaller, and smaller, until it had disappeared, it continuously gave a hearty signal, reminding of their action packed, and memorable year.
