The faceless attacker

A new discovery

When everybody finished crowding around the bird one of the hunters spoke to one of the leaders of this village. I manage to hear there voices outside. The hunter said " Today while us men were hunting, we saw a new hunting ground far north of the hunting ground we were in " .
" Really!!! " said one of leaders hyper excited " what type of hunting ground is it? "
" A forest, and I've got a feeling there's lots of animals in there to hunt. You see sir, we've got to try in out because in the hunting ground we were in today is nearly bare ever since the lakes and air got polluted ".
Yes of couse you must try it. Tommorow all you hunters shell set out and explore it ".
"Of couse sir, I'll tell the other men".
" Yes and I must tell the other leaders".
I told my family. Everyone was excited. Maybe we'll get more food. So I went to bed. But my parents woke me up early in the morning because a village meeting was on. And I knew what that was about. " Attention villagers, we have great news! " .
A mob of whispers could be heard.  " A new hunting place has been located with sighns of life! ". Excitement whooshed over the crowd. " Today the hunters will travel far north to where it is, but since the hunting ground is located quite far, the hunters will not be back until tomorrow". Everbody then just starting with saddness. The meeting ended. We walked back to a cottage. Mum and Dad were depressed. They called for me so they could talk to me. My Dad said " We didn't tell you all of this before cos we didn't want to worry you but we must now".
" What is it father" I asked.
Then Mum answered me " Our garden is bare and it will stay that way forever as we can not afford any seeds ". I new it, lately we haven't had any food since last week. I nodded to tell my parents that I understanded. Then my Dad continued on " We have to have food tomorrow cos the rest of the week we won't be having any food ". Dad paused then continued on " But I'm afraid there will be no food from the hunters tomorrow. I just can't afford the food. We have no money" . I started crying. We'll starve to death. It would have to end this way.
