I was in my room looking at myself in the mirror wondering who I was looking at. I wasn't the boy I used to be I knew that but I have changed so much. I used to be clam and a thinker, now what am I. The guy who looks back on his past feeling sorry for himself. There was a knock on the door. I turned and looked out of the bathroom "Come in" I said walking to the door.
It opened "Josh your need to the test room" one of the commanders came in.
"Alright I'll head down in a minute then" I said stopping and thinking to myself. I made my way out my room and walked to the test rooms. I walked into test room B and I saw Jackie sat in a chair with some kinda of wires on her head.
"Ahh Josh please take a seat" One of the guys said and pointed at a seat.
I sat and they put some of those wires on my head "What's this about?".
"OK so, overall you two are going to link brain waves almost" One of they explained "So we are going to link your brains and see if we can't make you like one human." this was weird.
"OK two things. One: Why? Two: Why us?" Jackie asked them.
"Well one: We are working on a new mech that has to piloted by two people. Two: You two have history together and are very similar people, it had to be you" He started going on at us. "Now we start on 3. 1....2.....3" Suddenly it felt like my head we being filled. My eyes stayed open and thoughts were rushing through my head. But they weren't mine. In fact they were memories. Jackie's memories.

They memories of Jackie were going through my head as if it happened yesterday. She had a dark past it seemed. She ran away from her parents and she learned to fend for herself. She never had a real family. It kept going on and on I was finding out more in these few seconds than I had in my life. Suddenly something hit me. Did she- did she hav-? It was cut off and the guys took off the wires and stuff. "Are you guys OK? Your heart rates spiked like mad!" One of the guys said as I tried to stand.
"Yeah I'm good I just need to rest I think my head is killing me" I said back to him. I started to make my way off and Jackie followed me.
"So you know about my past I guess?" She asked me. I was still thinking about lots at the time.
"Yeah you grew up rough a?" I asked her back.
"Yeah seems we both had to grow up the hard way. She told me as if she didn't care about it.
"Yeah I guess" I said still thinking. "Oh and give up on how you feel about me" I told her suddenly.
"What do you mean?" She asked me while we were still walking.
"Jackie I've just been in your head, don't toy with me" I told her.
"Well why?" She asked me sounding sad and mad at the same time.
"Jackie I'm a changed man. You made sure of that" I looked at her stopping.
"Oh and I'm just going to drop it. Yeah OK sure 'cause the guy I did fall for regrets not killing me" She told me as if I was the bad guy.
"You don't understand if I had I would not be what I am" I looked away "I would be a normal person not a god dam monster. Now I'm telling you; not as your friend, as your commander. Sargent drop the matter!" I rose my voice at her and walked off. I was done talking to her now. It was over between us I could tell.
