The Queen's Envy

A fair young maiden with such fine hair,
Dares wonders in the queen's lair.

The queen- blinded by the desire for beauty,
Has had her mind has turned dark and sooty.

She stands by her mirror,
in a cruel booming voice she demands; Isn't my beauty more than nearer?

And in pure honesty- the mirror replies;
No, my majesty you are too blinded by envy and despise.

In rage- the queen smashed the glass- and it pierced her heart,
In the end it was her envy that tore her apart.
