Newfoundlands are nicknamed nanny dogs because they are so good with kids.
They also get called Saint Bernard of the sea for there work as a rescue dog.
Males weigh about 130 - 150 pounds and are about 69 - 74 cm tall.
Females weigh around 100 - 120 pounds and are about 63 - 69 cm tall.
They live for about 9 - 15 years.
They can live in an apartment if walked and exercised a lot.
They are great rescue dogs and come from Newfoundland.
They are sweet, courageous, generous, peaceable, intelligent, calm, devoted, loyal and trustworthy.
They come in black, black and blue, black and white, brown ,grey and white and black.
They also love to swim and will swim for hours to save someone.
