Love hurts
My ego was down the strain. i had never felt so low in my life. I felt like if i couldn't get this one girl then i couldn't get any at all. The next day i came to school with a dozen roses, as i was handing it to her i told her "i love you until the last one dies" ( i thought that was pretty smooth because the last one was a fake so it could never die). she took the roses and threw them away.. all except one anyway, and she finally smiled at me. well i felt like i was the king of the world.. it didn't matter to me anymore that she wasn't the coolest girl in school, or that people might pick on me. i wanted her more then i had ever wanted something in my whole life. I remember the first time i asked her out. "Gretchen do you want to make me the happiest boy in the world and go on a date with me". " I don't really know", she replied with. " oh come on i be on my best behavior i promise". when she finally said yes i had the biggest smile on my face. that night when i was getting ready for my date, i heard my phone ring. it was my best friend Adam and he told me the most terrible news ever... Gretchen had been in a bad car accident
