The Cleansing

True Form~

"It is done." The demons chuckled, handing merceedis a mirror.
   Imagine, fiery orange wings flowing from out her shoulder blades, a pair of sharp horns pushed through the skin and skull of her forehead.
   She cried in the pain she now felt from the fire and her cracked skull.
              "Be still child, your body will change to your real form so you will only feel pain for a bit." the demon whispered.
              "It hurts! It hurts! Please make it stop!" warm colorless tears dripped from merceedis's feiry orange eyes.
   After a few more agonizing moments she could feel the pain and ache in her back finally cease.
              "Come now merceedis, we shall visit lucifer."
              "Lucifer...you mean the overlord of hell?"
              "Indeed, you shall offer your soul unto him and do the favor he wishes of you, the penalty of failure is death."
   Merceedis's hands clenched in fear as the demons led her down into the depths of hell.
The air was hot and crisp with the smell of rotting flesh, as she felt the smoldering hot air against her cheek;
   Merceedis and the demons reached the throne of the demon king.
Lucifer sat upon his throne in quite a menacing manor and said;
             "To what reason have you came to see me?"
       The demons nudged merceedis forward, fighting back nervous sputtering she finally spoke.
             "I have come to offer my soul to you almighty lucifer." She bowed.
             "Ah, and why do you offer your soul to me woman?"
             "I wish to be lonely, no more..I want to find others like me, human."
             "HA! but merceedis you are not human at all, you are a demon. If you go into the human world they will surely cleanse you."
             "But w-why?"
             "Because we are sin, my dear."
       Merceedis nodded.
             "If you still wish to go to the grotesque human world then you must do me a favor."
             "Of course."
             "You are to find the mother pregnant with the holy child, take the child from the woman's womb, and bring the child unto me. Then and only then you shall be free from this place"
            "How can I find the woman?"
            "You will sense her presence once you are in the human world."
            "May I ask why you need the child?"
            "Because i wish to feed on the holy flesh as well as its pure soul- now enough talking it is time." Lucifer lifted his arm to the air and opened a portal to what looked like some alien world.
            "Wait! Can't the humans see my form?!" Merceedis questioned.
            "No, they will just see you as another mortal. nothing out of the ordinary"
            "Alright, I'm ready."
