Adison
"Leslie! WAKE UP!" yelled my mom. I ran downstairs for breakfast."Hi mom." I said. My morning was not off to a good start.
"Leslie, did you study for your science test? I forgot to ask last night." said my mom.
"Dang it! I forgot. Now I'm gonna fail." I said.
"Well, study next time. Hurry up! Your bus is coming!"
I ran upstairs to get my clothes on and brush my teeth. I didn't really care about the science test.
"Your bus is here!"
"Coming!" I yelled and ran downstairs. I grabbed my backpack and ran to the bus. The driver yelled at me for me being late and I apologized. I sat down in the back, like Hannah tells me to, so that she won't be seen hanging around dorky losers. Now is the only time I can be away from her. I totally regret when I nodded yes. I hadn't even listened to what she said. But, I did it. Now I wish I could do other things with other people, but I'm stuck. Hannah scares me.
"Hi...What's your name? I'm Adison. I'm new. What's your name?" a quiet voice said from behind me. I turned around and saw a girl with glasses and zits. She had thick brown hair that was slightly frizzy.
"Hi...I'm uh..Leslie." I said, slightly unsure of what to do next.
"Hey, um, do you want to sit at lunch together?" asked Adison
"Ummm...." I said. I thought about how to say to her that Hannah won't let me because she practically owns me.
"If you don't want to that's fine. I was just looking for someone to hang out with. " she said and turned away.
"Wait!" I said and she turned around. "Actually, I will." I said. Adison smiled, and for the first time since I gave up Emmy, I actually felt happy.
