The Ambush
'Autumn, are your warriors well enough to make an ambush?' Long Tail said. 'My warriors are fine but I want to make sure Princess Flower is safe' Autumn replied. 'Don't you worry, I asked my brother to export Princess Flower to a safe castle up in the moutains. Raven will go with you on the raid' Long Tail said. 'I am sure Fawn would love to come as well' Autumn said. 'Then take her out too' Long Tail replied.'Wu-shu! Dark Sky! Kashmir!' Queen Ices voice rang out clear across the ice palace. The three warriors ran in. Wu-shu was a Chineese looking quite small dragon. He had a maroon face, with short golden whiskers and fur trailing form his cheeks. His body was like a wolves acctually. His ears were a dusty brown and golden antlers stuck out from his head. His neck was covered in yellow scales. So were the tips of his legs, his tail and his underbelly. His back was covered in wooly brown fur and the rest of the body was maroon. Only his tail-tip was a striking green.
Dark Sky was an unicorn. But now a fluffy or cute one. He was black with a curly tail with a long tuft of jet black hair on it, his mane and hairy legs were black too. He had a grey horn. Fain colors of the rainbow were seen on his fur, criss-crossed with murky lightning strikes.
'Go on the East Border as far as the crooked willow. When Long Tail's party comes show no mercy. I need Princess Flower. Her blood will give me ultimate power. I just need to kill my naive weak sisters' she said. 'Go. Don't come back without one warrior's body part' she added certainly.
The trio bowed and left the castle. Emerald was perched by the throne. 'Your Majesty, I am just wondering when you will use our Ice Sword' he said. 'Soon little puny bird' said Oueen Ice. 'I am sure that the forest will soon be an icy province of my kingdom. And when I see a single little dried shrivlled tiny dehydrated leaf I will kill whoever grew that little weaapon to destroy all ice. Soon Emerald, soon my bird'...
Wu-Shu was carefully scenting the area. He halted at a familliar stench. He knew what it was, yet it always gave him a creepy feeling like tiny insects creeping up his back. Turning round a snow swept bent he saw a fresh green lawn, with bright acacia trees beyond. 'Y'know what'll happen when we won't c'm back without a limb or tail shred out' Dark Rinbow said.
Kashmir shivered. 'Let's just get over it. I know that when we take over the forest we'll invade South Village. Then we just have to take over Queen Lava's shores and boom! The isle is ours' he said. Snifiing Wu-Shu stepped into Elder Paw's land. 'Into the woods, maybe a little lost warrior will be easy prey for us' he barked sourly and with hatered.
And just as Wu-Shu entered the forest Long Tail leaped on him. He bit hard down on the soft back neck fur. He made a deep wound. He clutched and pierced his sides with claws. Then Drk Rainbow threw him off without any effort. Just then Autumn bit hard on his back leg. Dark bellowed with fury and pain.
Fawn jumped down from an acacia tree and lunged for his throat, only to be pulled back by Kashmir. As the struggle for a grip on the opponent, a clawful of fur, a droplet of blood and a breath of air continued, the ice patrol was defeated. Wu-Shu and Dark quickly limped away and fled. They had scars, plenty of them.
To everyone's surprise Kashmir stayed behind, not looking practically hurt. 'Tell Queen Ice I am tired of her cold land and her even colder heart!' he bellowed. 'I am joining Long Tail's army!' he howled. That night Ice got a tantrum.
