Halo
I sat quietly on the beach sand and just starred out into the ocean. I watched as the waves crashed against the shore and brought seashells and sea weed up upon the shore. I sighed to myself, as I realized how long I've been here just starring down at my wrist watch. I sat here in this very same spot for almost three hours. I've been thinking a lot; a lot about my boyfriend Michael. He's been gone for a year. He's been on tour. I missed him a lot. He was suppose to come back yesterday, but he called me up this morning and told me that he wasn't going to be home for another week. Yeah, just hearing those words had killed me, but being the sweet girl I was, I told Michael that it was ok and he'll get home, when he gets home. After I hung up the phone with Michael, I came out to the beach afterwards and just sat down on the sand, watching the waves. It was a cloudy day and rather a bit chilly. I pulled my hoodie hood over my head and brought my knees up to my chest as the wind began to pick up. I wish I brought my iPod so I could listen to music. It was rather quiet on the beach today, besides the wind roaring and the waves crashing. There wasn't that much people as there was yesterday. Of course there was the joggers, a few couples and a few tourists hunting for seashells.
With my chin rested on my hands, I dug my feet into the sand. I buried my feet and pulled them back up to see them both covered with sand. I sighed. I was so bored. I didn't feel like walking, or going back to the apartment. I felt like just...listening to music. Since I didn't have my iPod, I began to sing to myself.
Remember those walls I built?
Well, baby, they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight.
They didn't even make a sound.
I found a way to let you in.
But I never really had a doubt.
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now
Suddenly, I was cut off by a pair of arms wrapping around me from behind. I went to respond until a voice started to sing in my ear.
It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breaking.
It's the risk that I'm taking.
I ain't never gonna shut you out.
Everywhere I'm looking now,
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby, I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face.
Baby, I can feel you halo,
Pray it won't fade away.
After hearing those words and after heading that voice, I knew who it was: Michael. I spun myself around and came face to face with the most beautiful and handsome man I ever saw.
"Mikey!", I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck.
He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. "Missed me Ally?"
I nodded my head. "More than you'll ever know."
I heard Michael chuckle as we held each other for five minutes. I buried my face in his neck as the cold wind picked up. I took in his scent. He smelt very good and his skin was very soft. I pulled away and starred into his beautiful eyes. I smiled.
"I missed you Michael. I thought you said you were going to be gone for another week?"
Michael shrugged and brought my face down to his. He pressed his forehead against mine and starred deep into my eyes. He sighed and I felt his breath tickle my face.
"I couldn't stand being away from you any longer. I missed you so much Ally. And you know something?"
"What?", I breathed.
"I saw this and thought of you..."
Michael pulled his head away from mine. I watched as he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a red velvet box. I gasped.
"Oh my God Michael..."
"Here, this is for you."
I took the box and slowly opened it. There laying inside was a silver, heart-shaped locket necklace. It had my name and Michaels carved on the heart. It said: Ally-N-Michael 4-Ever.
I smiled in awe. "Michael...it's beautiful."
"Here...let me help you put it on.", Michael suggested.
I took the necklace out of the box and handed it to Michael. I turned around and removed my hair out of the way. Michael clipped the necklace on me and turned me back around. He looked down at me and smiled.
"It's perfect.", he smiled. "It looks perfect on you. Now, the world has proof to see that your my girl."
Blushing by what Michael said, I leaned in and gave Michael a kiss. He returned it, by running his fingers through my hair.
"Thank you Michael.", I smiled. "I love you."
"I love you more Ally."
