The Story
I wake up Tuesday morning to the sound of my alarm clock ringing for me to wake up for school. The rest of the day went by as usual. after school i asked my dad if he could drive me to my aunts house. he said "the weather is too hard on us maybe tomorrow." later that night there is a loud and annoying thunderstorm that hardly lets me get any sleep. the next day I get up and out of bed. I get ready for what I think is going to be a normal day. All of a sudden I hear a door close upstairs (my room is downstairs). I go see what happened, and I see my dad coming in I ask him "what happened?" And he told me "the power isn't working well so, they sent us back home from work". I go eat some Cheerios, yum. After that I go watch Spongebob in the living room. After about half an hour later my mom and two little sisters wake up. They eat breakfast then come watch tv with me. Pretty soon my mom and dad get a call from school saying 'school is canceled due to the harsh weather'. At first I'm happy that school I canceled but then I wonder, What harsh weather? I go see out the window and I see that yesterday's rain had frozen on the trees, and with all the weight the branches were falling and breaking off. We go driving around town and you couldn't imagine what we saw, trees blocking people's driveways, in the middle of the street, everywhere. My dad joked and said it looked like a war zone. We decided to go check out my gramma and grandpas house to see their damage. When we got there we were all shocked to see not a single one of his trees were still up. All of his trees were on the ground, and they were gigantic trees. We went to go check his garage, there was a HOLE IN THE ROOF! We went around town driving and taking pictures. The next day (AKA today) we woke up and again no school. The power is going on and off, on and off, on and off. It gets pretty boring with no power, but at least we have it. Today we got about 6 inches of snow, and it's still snowing. Everything in town is closed, except Walgreens, and Walmart. They say this might last 24-48 more hours. Wish me luck. I hope everything gets better and it doesn't spread to where you are at. So, that's the story. Well, so far. What do you think?Enjoy. Comment. Fave.
