This is a collection of the first poems I have posted here, and I created them at a writing camp I went to in 2012. It was called Young Author's Camp, or Camp Write-Away. Hope you like the poems!

The Goddess Envy

(this poem was inspired by the poem The House of the Goddess Envy)

The Goddess Envy

Envy is the destroyer of hearts,
The governess of strife
She has grasped my heart
With her cold, unfeeling talons

I can no longer see the happiness
In my sister's union
My soul is now
As black as coal
With sharp, poisoned thorns spread within.

Though I do not wish it so
I have no command over my fate
It's the gods' will and I must abide

I am but a prisoner in my own body
Watching the world around me crumble
Through a one-sided pane

My sister is happily in love
Yet Envy has made me ripe with hate
But for every second I languish
In my despair, she nears

I can see her now, feet from me
Her long slender fingers grasp at my heart
And squeeze.

I love your poem. It's peaceful and beautiful as you talk about the Rose Blossoms.
