Apologies for how long you've been waiting for this. I've only just been reminded of it today thanks to a new entry.
Anyway, I forgot to mention one little aspect of this story - I'm setting this in Medieval times, so none of our current technology will exist in this story. I believe this will give a better belief that kingdoms are still around.

The shadow powers actually link only to Midna, I'm surprised you knew that without me mentioning it.
