Is This Real? WWFFY (Prologue)

It's offical, the other WWFFY has been replaced by this one, though, I didn't really see where I was going with the last one XD. Tails is the same age as everyone else and yes, Sapphire and Surge are included in this. Deal with it :P

"What do you mean, I can't have any more beer?" A red enhidna snarled. His vibrant purple eyes were sinister to look at from a point of view of an on looker but a close friend or foe would know why.
"Sir, it means we cannot allow you any more alcohol." The tan mouse simply states tapping her pen onto her notebook impatiently. Th echidna heaves a frustrated sigh gripping his beer bottle a little too tight. A shorter yellow foz slides inot the seat next to the hedgehog as if he sensed his frustration. He nods to the mouse who does a polite half smile and walks off to serve another customer.

"Knuckles?" The fox questiuons tilting his head as if to get into his friend's line of vision, "Too much beer will get you drunk." Knuckles closes his eyes and exhales sharply.
"It takes a lot to get me 'drunk'." He simply states his voice low and sinister. The fox leans in close, his voice a whisper.
"They don't know that!"
"I just wanted a break, Miles-"
"Tails!"
"Whatever."

Tails rolls his eyes before waving the waitress back over. Pulling out his wallet he quickly calculated the price and handed over a handful of coins and notes.
"Sorry for the trouble-" His eyes trail to her name tag. "-Alice." The mouse shrugs it off before scooping up the cash. Her watch dings and she taps a buton to silence it before grabbing her coat and walking out the back door of the bar. "Her shift must have ended" Tails mutters before his eyes meet Knuckles'. "Sonic assigned us on a job. We decide to take a break and I turn my back for a few seconds and you're already starting to cause trouble?" Tails was whispering but he had a serious undertone to his voice. Knuckles growled and gripped the beer bottle to tight smashing it. Clash! The bar fell silent as all eyes and ears were trained on the two friends.
"I'm sorry, but you must leave." A gruff voice from behind the two ordered.

They turned around to come face to face with a buff bulldog wearing a smart bodyguard uniform. Before Knuckles could protest Tails had took his wrist and dragged him out the building through the back door into the alley behind. Knuckles yanked his arm away from his companion and glared at Tails in silence. The fox just ignored him and took his mobile out to call Sonic. Clank. The pair froze as they stood and stared into the darkness of the alley. Knuckles' fists clench and Tails adjusts his footing. A strange black creature sneaks out from the darkness wearing similar clothes to those of the bar maids.
"Another one" Tails mutters. Knuckles growls.
"What did you do?" He demands, eyes focused on the creature.

"They're all dead!" The creature's voice wavered like static and echoed around the alley walls. It then laughed manically. Knuckles growls again and flings himself forwards punching the creature square in the jaw. The creature screams and swings a claw at him but Knuckles dodges and hits him again knocking it over. Iy lay still on the floor, twitching every few seconds. Knuckles kicks it turning it over on it's front so the two can get a better look at it. It was the name tag that stood out the most though. "Alice."
"Damn it!" Knuckles cursed.
"That poor girl..." Tails frowned. He typed in some numbers on his phone in attempt to once again call Sonic.

Knuckles stared at the corpse on the floor for a while before it slowly started to fade away. Lately, they had been seeing more and more of these things around, but what are they?
"Knuckles!" Tails' voice snapped him out of his daydream. "Sonic bucked us into a hotel near here so we can stop the night." Knuckles nodded slowly. He took his friend's hands and they quickly flew over to the hotel. Booking a room was easy, they walk in and Tails practically pounces onto the first bed they see. "Sonic said there has been more occurrences of those things in Station Square more then anywhere else and we need to get back asap."

Knuckles grunts signalling him to continue.
"We don't know what these things are but it's safe to assume they aren't Mobians." Tails rants taking his laptop out of his bag, switching it on and typing at a speed Sonic would be impressed by. "And we all know two people whodeal with the 'unknown'." Tails spins his laptop to face Knuckles' The glaring screen illuminating his face as he raised his eyebrows. On the screen was a happy couple enjoying their time on the beach, both hedgehogs. One female, light blue fur and grey eyes. The other dark green and black with golden eyes. Knuckles' eyes met Tails'.
"We'll leave tomorrow"
