Talk with The Bloody Painter (creepypasta)

Talk with The Bloody Painter (creepypasta)

The annual ball was as normal as it usually is. Your friends all find partners and dance the night away as you sit and watch. But this time is going to be different. Someone does ask you to dance. A strange boy, who says his name is Helen.

You watch the couples dance. The ball this year is surprisingly full.

See, every year your town holds a ball in a sort of eighteenth century style. They have a dance instructor and a quartet and everything. It's one of the only things that happens in this town, so you and your friends always make a big deal of attending.

But it's always the same. Your friends all get asked to dance and you always get stuck watching them from the tables. It was the same again this year.

You check the clock. 10:00pm. Your parents said you had to be home by 11:00pm.

Watch the other couples dance. It's kind of fun to watch.
Watch the other couples dance with envy. How come no one ever asked you
to dance?
Get a drink. It's hot in here.
Fiddle around with your thumbs. You were really bored.
Sketch. You knew you'd be bored, so you brought a book to doodle in.
Read. You knew you'd be bored, so you brought a book.

You looked all around. The ceiling had a big chandelier and the walls were decorated with ribbons. The windows were dark, you couldn't see outside.

Then somethings catches your eye. You look again. One the other side of the big room was a boy. He looked around 16. He had a blue jacket on and black pants. On his jacket was a cute pin with a smiling face on it, and he had black hair. And he was staring right at you.

Smile back at him.
Smile nervously.
Wave.
Quickly turn away.

The song ends. The next one would start in a couple minutes. You expect your friends to come back to the table you sat beside, but they didn't. They went to their new partner's tables.

You look back at the boy. You see he's walking towards you.

Look away.
Draw a bit more. He's probably just going to the refreshments - which are
right behind you.

 Ignore him.

The quartet were getting their instruments ready as the couples resumed their place back on the floor.

"Excuse me?" It was the boy.

You looked over. He was standing right in front of you holding out his hand. "May I have this dance?"

Stare at him in surprise. Then take his hand.
Smile and say, "Of course."
Smile and say, "Sure."
 Smile and take his hand.

You grasped his hand as you made your way onto the dance-floor. Although you hadn't danced that night, you did know how to.

You turned to face each other as the music started.

He held your left hand and put his other on your waist. You had your other hand on his shoulder.

 "I'm Helen" He said.

I'm Y/N.
That's a nice name...I'm Y/N.
That's a strange name. My name's Y/N.
Okay. Call me Y/N.
...Y/N.

He sighed. "Y/N...I like it." He smiled. Somehow his smile seemed...somehow forced.

Then it was pretty much quiet except for the music.

Keep the silence. You were enjoying this.
Keep the silence. You didn't really want to talk.
Try to think of some things to talk about.
Smile at him.
Just...stare at him...

Finally he mumbles something;

 "Y-you've never been...bullied before...have you?"

At first you're surprised at the question. Then you say:

Yeah, I have.
Yes, but I handled it well.
Yes. It was horrible.
No, I haven't.
Actually, I've bullied someone before...

 He narrowed his eyes. "Ah...okay..."

"I was just wondering...since I have been bullied....." He was looking down at his feet.

You:

 Say, "That's terrible!"
Say, "I'm sorry that you had to go through that..."
 Stay silent.
 Look at him with pity.
 Chuckle.
9/13

"What do you like to do? I like to draw..." He asked.

You say:

"What do you like to do? I like to draw..." He asked. You say:
 Oh, I like to read.
I don't really do much...I like to talk to my friends though...
 I like to draw too.
 I like to sing.
 I enjoy dancing.
Oh, I just play video games.

The song ended. He was still holding your hand.

 "Follow me."

You:

 Follow him.
 Ask where you're going.
Say, "Oh, I should really get back to my table..."
Stand still at first...then you follow him.
Resist his hand. You don't trust him.
11/13

He pulled you across the room to the door outside and led the way out. You see him pull something out of under his jacket. It looked white. He put it on his face. A mask.

You start to worry. What's he doing??
Just follow him. You trust him.
Try to pull away from him.
 Ask him about the mask.
12/13

He pulled you around the corner of the building to a narrow alley.

"Thing is, Y/N...I need more paint..."

He seemed a lot more menacing with that mask on. It was smooth, with dark eye holes. It had a smile painted on with what looked like red paint. But it could be blood. The smile was dripping down the mask.

 Scream.
Ask what he meant by 'paint'.
Start backing away slowly. This guy's insane.
 Try to run away.

He grabbed you arm with his gloved hand. He ran his other hand down the side of your face.

"And you must have such beautiful blood..."

 Try to run away.
Try to think about how you could escape this.
Scream.
