In episode 8, "The Angel's Aquamarine", Shouko reveals she is asexual and aromantic indirectly, confessing she has never felt romantic attraction. After being asked if marriage is really what she wants, she says that she does not know what it means to like someone in a way that is different from how she likes her parents, and adds that "... choosing not to fall See More in love and never understanding it in the first place aren't the same."
