I wrote a little wlw poem 5 years ago when I was still ten. I look back at it occasionally and I always thought that it would be cool to revise it one day, so this is a revision! Still pretty shitty but I think that the poem was nice for a poem written by a ten year old so here! Don't read if you don't want to.
I was five, you were six, and we were still playing with mud and sticks. You asked my name, and so I asked yours. We shook hands, and that changed our world.
Then I See More was 8 and you were nine. In the third grade, a day was a dime. On the playground we played with shards. A blood pact forever, and never apart.
I turned 11 and you turned 12. When middle school came each day felt the same. But we held hands, and then hung on. Waited to pass, until the bell has rung.
I was 13 and you 14. We'd hang midnight till early morning. I heard you say the words in a mumble. We traded first kisses, forever was doubled.
I was 16 and you 17, dating three years and three anniversaries. I felt paranoid this love wouldn't last but you reminded me of our blood pact.
Next I was 19, and you were 20. Dating and loving for years a plenty. You bent over, and pulled out that ring. With a grin I said yes as tears ran down my cheeks
We became old, together forever. Love was love. We were two girls together.
