I have to admit that back in 2015/16 I shipped Bipper. I was only 11 (a 5th grader) and grown adults in the fandom normalized it to the point where I didn't think it was pedophilic in any way (I had only a very basic concept of pedophilia). Now looking back it just makes me sad as hell. Just sad. They didn't even try to hide the fact dipper was a fvcking 12 year old shipped with a demon over TRILLIONS of years old, and when they did try they aged him to See More only 16 and made Bill look like a 16 year old too, which I think is almost worse because that made it seem more normal to me, they knew it was initially wrong in the first place, and the ship is just the pedophilic fetishization trope “young kid being with a mature man” anyway. Its disgusting.
