Cast/Characters: - Sophie (Mother; Diana's friend)
- Diana (Antagonist, vengeful ghost-like entity; Sophie's friend/tormentor)

So the movie is about a dead woman named Diana. When Diana was young, she had a skin disorder, so she was sent to a mental institution, where she met Sophie, who becomes her friend. There, in the mental institution, they (the doctors) tried to help Diana, but failed and killed her. When Sophie grows up, she gets a husband and has two kids, Martin and Rebecca (Her husband dies in the beginning of the movie at his work place, unfortunately.) Diana got jealous of Sophie, because she wanted a family of her own when she got older. Her motive is to kill anyone who tries to give Sophie treatment, which includes her kids (The mother has depression). She mainly has a target on the family, but will kill about anyone. She won't kill Sophie, though, because Sophie is her friend.
In the movie it seems like Sophie doesn't mind Diana's evil intentions, but near the end of the movie, she sneakily hands her daughter a note, saying 'I need help.' Though, light seems to help get rid of Diana for a short period of time (she hates the light because that's what killed her). The only thing that's keeping Diana alive is the mother, so (this is where the tw comes in) the mom kills herself by shooting herself, and Diana permanently leaves. That was the only way to keep the kids safe.
Diana ABSOLUTELY hates light, and Martin figured it out when he first saw Diana. So they keep the lights on at night.
It's a really good movie, and has a few major jumpscares. There's a big jumpscare 5-15 minutes into the movie. It's really good.
