It is recommended that you collect all of the Pokémon!
In order to complete an objective given to you by a professor, you, the protagonist, must use a pocket dictionary, or a "Pokédex", and pocket balls, also referred to as "Pokéballs" to find and subdue the many Pocket Monsters, shortened to "Pokémon", that are randomly generated within the map by using the Pokémon that you already own to engage in a turn-based strategy battle with the opposing Pokémon, See More rendering the other Pokémon as unable to fight anymore, which is then your opportunity to throw the previously mentioned Pokéball at the now helpless Pokémon, so that you can contain the non-domesticated animal, and it can be considered caught, and the information about the newly-caught Pokémon is stored.
