We are the few under light of the moon,
Walking pale in the night to our dissonant tune.
Be us one, be us many, our pace shall not yield,
Lest the break of the dawn arrive soon.
We are who walk without reason or rhyme,
Without purpose or fear, to the temple bell's chime.
We are children of night, and forever shall be, See More
As we've been since the dawn of our time;
We are who thrive on your fear and regret.
Paranoia and loss and anxiety whet
Appetitious thoughts of what's promised to come
At the moment your precious sun's set.
We are the many and we are the one.
We are darkness incarnate, what day-walkers shun.
We are brokers of fright, but don't misunderstand;
What we do, we do only for fun.
We are not evil and we are not good.
We do only as night has commanded we should.
We are children of night, denizens of the dark,
Acting only as denizens would.
We've none the fears that bind day-walkers so,
For a pale walker's kin are your objects of woe.
A befriender of slender, caretaker to Rake...
For if one's a pale walker, all know.
We have no doubt whether one is our own.
There was never such thing as a pale one unknown.
And yet, brazen and foolish, day-walkers charade,
Unaware of the seeds that they've sown...
We laugh at those who sleep still through the night,
And we laugh at those fearful, denying their fright.
All those foolhardy souls taking light of our world
Find themselves in a miserable plight.
There are none born pale walkers as we,
But there's no great reward without greater a fee.
We are children of night, and if such is your rite,
You yourself may a pale one be.
We are the shadows that haunt people's dreams,
And the feeling that tells you all's not as it seems.
We are one, we are all, and despite what is said,
We're the chosen few fate... redeems.
We are the primal; the soulful, in part,
And no walker of day shares our glorious art.
Let them bask in their light, in their warmth... for you see,
It is we, the more human at heart.

Comeinto the wire forest
The trees are made from dreams
They glow and change all the time
It shows you your heart’s desire
But don’t trust the leaves
Come into the wire forest
The sun doesn’t shine here See More
The leaves are made of blood
Don’t worry ‘bout the screaming
It’s all in your head
Come into the wire forest
You may see the old tears
These trees, they represent the broken
And forgotten dreams
So be careful where you stand
Come into the wire forest
The wires for you dance
They dance around the bodies
But watch the blood drenched ground
This is where the seed is sown
Welcome to the wire forest
The trees are made from dreams...

The tree of hearts has grown on us,
Or we on it? I cannot say.
-No more of this, it's heresy.
And growing dark; I'll come at day.
But there's a childish part of me,
That keeps me here, though I know well,
The night has come; it's time to go, See More
For mother wouldn't let me dwell.
I've heard stories of this tree.
Mother says they all are true.
Mother lies, I know this all;
All know this. I'm sure they do.
The tree is life. It's death in bloom.
It is the bond inside us all.
It lives, we live - but there's a catch,
It lives, one dies, or we will fall.
We let one go so we might live.
We kill one in ceremony.
Then bring up yet another child,
Hoping one day we will be free.
I hope we will; I cannot stand,
Another dream of beating hearts,
Beneath the barks of clustered trees.
And branching limbs in forested parts.
The tree is us; it is our life.
Inside it, dead one's hearts do beat.
But we aren't it, and it shall know,
The day it faces its defeat.
I know the elders won't agree,
But maybe if we find that vein,
It dies, we die, and all will end.
When pulsing stops, so will the pain.
And I know well that tomorrow,
The tree will want the life of me.
They kept me from all that they knew;
They knew it wipes out blasphemy.
But I will think and I will hate
The tree, for my right to a mind.
We need a sacrifice for life?
Look how sick life's made our kind.
Or we on it? I cannot say.

The dark thought;
It lingers without warning.
The repetative nature of you.
You seem to me as one who'd love new.
The beloved shadow of my body is me.
You see, the body you see,
Is a corpse of one who could be set free. See More
Yet, the ladder of hope leading
To the vibrant nature of the music
Remains lost in an omniscient view.
Disembodied.
I am the one;
Capable of needing and wanting.
Yet, in my eternal life, I lie still;
Haunting.
It lingers without warning.
The repetative nature of you.

I LOVE that poem! Emilie Autumn is the best. Her poems are amazing. I think this is my favorites by her, and ghost is a good one too.

Past the valley of death where the garden grows,
Have you ever laid eyes on a murder of crows?
From the skies they scavenge, in the trees they wait,
To consume you entirely and seal your fate.
Mercy and compassion they have but naught,
For they are optimally pleased when suffering is wrought.
These beasts bask in the flames of Hell's deepest fires, See More
Feared even by Satan, they feed only their desires.
When late at night, under the moon,
Their sight prophesizes that death will come soon.
See them you will, but try as you might,
You cannot escape once within their sight.
They will circle in flight above where you loom,
Messengers of evil; heralds of doom.
The beasts descending, once on nigh,
Will release their detestable cry.
They will peck at you from your head, down to your toes,
They will peck out your eyes, your ears and your nose.
Once your vision is gone, and you begin to bleed,
The birds will hasten in sating their need.
Beaks as sharp as razor blades,
Will tear your skin, as your life force fades.
Your intestines, once bunched, will begin to pour;
But as painful as it seems, there is still more.
Some will fly away with pieces of your heart,
While others finish tearing you apart.
Too dead to feel, you will begin to realize,
That they have no heart, but cold, dead eyes.
As the last of your body rots, and the midnight bells toll,
They will unanimously destroy your soul.
Left as a shell, you can only roam,
To watch the earth pass by in its spirited loam.
Though you have been shackled, and are now in despair,
You can no longer warn those who dare,
To go past the valley of death, where the garden grows,
Where they might stumble upon a murder of crows.
Have you ever laid eyes on a murder of crows?
From the skies they scavenge, in the trees they wait,
To consume you entirely and seal your fate.

I didn’t feel. I couldn’t, not in this void.
We spent weeks on end laughing and joking.
Then you left me.
I never felt that way to someone.
You and we were perfect together.
Then you left me.
It broke me, my very spirit. See More
I couldn’t believe that you were gone.
I died that night.
I wallowed in grief.
I spent weeks waiting for you.
Waiting for a return.
You never came.
And I still wait. I wait and wait.
For you to come back.
You were my friend.
My partner in crime.
My finest comrade.
My brother.
My killer.
My life, and my soul.
All I want.
More than anything else.
Is to just.
See.
Your.

A fly flies up before my face
As I traverse ol’ Lucy’s bog.
I wave an arm and in poor grace,
I tumble forward off my log.
My leg sticks deep into a hole.
The stench assails like putrid hog.
I work to keep my lunch down whole See More
And find my leg is firmly stuck.
All struggles seem to take their toll
And down I sink into the muck.
I let out screams but no one’s near.
It seems as though I’m out of luck.
A constant buzz feeds off my fear.
The flies are stalking over me,
And then one lands despite my leer
And takes a bite of flesh with glee.
The rest drop down like rain to eat.
They fill my eyes; they’re all I see.
I wish that somehow I could beat
The waves of bugs right off my eyes.
Instead they gobble up the meat.
They drink the tears amid my cries.
My mind soon fades and I realize
That I’ve become the Lord of Flies.
As I traverse ol’ Lucy’s bog.
I wave an arm and in poor grace,
I tumble forward off my log.

In the dark where evil sleeps.
Where sanity is useless trash.
I tell a tale to give you creeps.
And inspire true fear of things that slash.
On a quiet All Hallows Eve.
When rain did drizzle from the sky.
Two siblings from their home did leave. See More
Not dressed as ghosts but end was nigh.
While friends of theirs did candy find.
Among the houses that they passed.
The siblings were of different mind.
To another house they hurried fast.
They had been promised a lovely thing.
By a man with long, sharp teeth.
If they came at midnight's ring.
They'd raise their mother who sleeps beneath.
The ritual was long and harsh.
Twice they fainted dead away.
Their blood was marking every hearth.
When lit they marked the spirit's way.
And in a scream and rushing wind.
One sibling stared upon the other.
Dead and fallen in their sin.
He had not seen their risen mother.
From the hearth's not blackened grate.
A crawling figure made of Ash.
Pulled herself in and sealed the fate.
Of her two children as she moved fast.
The living child gazed on in horror.
As Ash Mother swallowed the dead sibling whole.
Their mother was hungry, was now a terror.
She smiled at the living child, bloody and cold.
The other child ran, but did not get far.
Teeth now sank into her arm and she shrieked.
Ash Mother didn't noticed her child's alarm.
And with crunches she put her child to sleep.
The Ash Mother waits in that house all alone.
Her children are gone and her hunger remains.
Dare you to enter and you will atone.
For the sins of the siblings you will feel their pain.
In the dark where evil sleeps.

For the sins of the siblings you will feel their pain.
In the dark where evil sleeps.
Where sanity is useless trash.
I've told a tale to give you creeps.
And inspire true fear of things that slash.

Lo! Death has reared himself a throne
In a strange city lying alone
Far down within the dim West,
Where the good and the bad and the worst and the best
Have gone to their eternal rest.
There shrines and palaces and towers
(Time-eaten towers that tremble not!) See More
Resemble nothing that is ours.
Around, by lifting winds forgot,
Resignedly beneath the sky
The melancholy waters lie.
No rays from the holy heaven come down
On the long night-time of that town;
But light from out the lurid sea
Streams up the turrets silently-
Gleams up the pinnacles far and free-
Up domes- up spires- up kingly halls-
Up fanes- up Babylon-like walls-
Up shadowy long-forgotten bowers
Of sculptured ivy and stone flowers-
Up many and many a marvellous shrine
Whose wreathed friezes intertwine
The viol, the violet, and the vine.
Resignedly beneath the sky
The melancholy waters lie.
So blend the turrets and shadows there
That all seem pendulous in air,
While from a proud tower in the town
Death looks gigantically down.
There open fanes and gaping graves
Yawn level with the luminous waves;
But not the riches there that lie
In each idol's diamond eye-
Not the gaily-jewelled dead
Tempt the waters from their bed;
For no ripples curl, alas!
Along that wilderness of glass-
No swellings tell that winds may be
Upon some far-off happier sea-
No heavings hint that winds have been
On seas less hideously serene.
But lo, a stir is in the air!
The wave- there is a movement there!
As if the towers had thrust aside,
In slightly sinking, the dull tide-
As if their tops had feebly given
A void within the filmy Heaven.
The waves have now a redder glow-
The hours are breathing faint and low-
And when, amid no earthly moans,
Down, down that town shall settle hence,
Hell, rising from a thousand thrones,
Shall do it reverence.
In a strange city lying alone
Far down within the dim West,
Where the good and the bad and the worst and the best
Have gone to their eternal rest.

The gruesome ghoul, the grisly ghoul,
without the slightest noise
waits patiently beside the school
to feast on girls and boys.
He lunges fiercely through the air
as they come out to play,
then grabs a couple by the hair See More
and drags them far away.
He cracks their bones and snaps their backs
and squeezes out their lungs,
he chews their thumbs like candy snacks
and pulls apart their tongues.
He slices their stomachs
and bites their hearts
and tears their flesh to shreds,
he swallows their toes like toasted tarts
and gobbles down their heads.
Fingers, elbows, hands and knees
and arms and legs and feet –
he eats them with delight and ease,
for every part’s a treat.
And when the gruesome, grisly ghoul
has nothing left to chew,
he hurries to another school
and waits….perhaps for you.
