I'm terribly afraid of the feelings for someone, because then I don't want to disappoint them or lose them and I don't know if my best is enough to make them happy.

That's the problem, I don't feel nothing, for no one. My family, my friends, I learnt to don't feel anything for them, and I have no one special in my life, so... when I feel something, I istantly hide it.

Ok, random question: why people in manga and anime, who are supposed to be japanese, doesn't seem japanese?
The Japanese animators don't only make Japanese people in their animes and mangas. And for the seeming Japanese part, sometimes they try to make it easier to understand for dumb Americans like moi. Not all characters in anme and manga are Japanese.
