7 Years Later...
I pulled up in front of the park where Brandon and I had our first kiss, and proceeded to get out of my car.
Today was the reunion my high school friends and I had annually.
I saw Skylar, Luke, Aria, See More Lilly, Indie, and James already sitting down at a picnic table.
I ran towards them.
"I missed you all so much!!!!" I squealed and hugged them.
"I know! It's been like a month since I saw you last!" Skylar said.
Skylar had graduated from Duke studying law, and was already working at a successful law firm.
My phone vibrated and I pulled it out of my pocket. Brandon had texted me.
Brandon: I'll be there in a minute okay?
Dawn: Okay.
"Brandon's coming in about a minute." I told my friends.
They exchanged glances. What was that all about?
Soon Brandon arrived, cue more hugs.
Eventually everyone was here and we started eating. Indie had brought brownies which she claimed were homemade, though tasted exactly like the Publix kind.
Maybe she's just THAT good of a baker?
Skylar and Luke went off somewhere, and Luke had brought his camera. Were they taking pictures together or something?
We all talked for a few minutes, when I noticed Brandon seemed sort of jittery. He also had snarfed down his food REALLY quickly, like he was in a rush. "Hey Brandon, are you alright?" I asked worriedly. Brandon nodded quickly. "Yeah, I'm fine. Can you come with me a second?"
