When Five Feet Apart came out, I knew immediately that I wanted to watch it as my brother and I each have the DeltaF508 and R117H mutations. My family never could find the time though. Today we rented it and finally watched it, and I can't tell you how many times I cried watching this movie, you guys. I think I speak for everyone in the world who has CF when I say that it is terrifying to know that anything like that could happen to me anytime. If anyone who has Cystic Fibrosis or knows someone who does is reading this, I love you and feel you. I don't show any symptoms right now, but just knowing that I could, at any given time, show them and be admitted to the hospital for something like this is terrifying. I sometimes say things about CF, and people are like, "You don't even have the symptoms," but they don't know how terrifying it is to have to go through life always fearing what might or might not happen. But here's the bottom line of this post:
I'm scared. I'm probably more scared in this moment than I've ever been.
