Punishing the Southerners would be punishing the traitors, and it would keep them from resisting the North, restoring order and peace.

Citizens were guarenteed equal protection of the laws
This was passed to help get African Americans the right to vote

What I think on white racism/reverse racism:
I think it does exist, and it happens all the time. It doesn't matter what kind of past a race has had, because racism is about discriminating against people because of their race. Whenever I see something that says it doesn't exist, it irks me, because it means whoever wrote it thinks it's not racist for a black person to say "all whites are inferior" or something like that. Like...how is that not racist?

So I get no one will really care about this, but oh well.
After learning some things about abortion and stuff like that, I haven't changed my views on it much. I still disagree with it most times, but I get that there are times where it really would be for the best. I'm thinking we should have some kind of category or points system to determine if a woman is allowed to get one.
Hear me out.
I'm talking about a system where there are a bunch of check-boxes labeled with reasons the woman wants an abortion, and the circumstances in which the pregnancy occurred. Like, one "reason" could be something like "I don't want any medical repurcussions." A "circumstance" could be rape or a one-night stand. The boxes the she checks would determine if she'll be allowed to have an abortion. That could work how personality quizzes work here.
I get it's her body, but if she just doesn't feel like spending twenty years on a kid I don't think she should be able to get an abortion.
There ARE circumstances where it's best. If the mother, the child, or both of them will be medically messed up, it's for the best. A statistic said less than 1% of abortions in America were from pregnancy that resulted from rape/incest. It implies that most women in America just don't want to raise a kid. Of course there are a lot that do it because of medical reasons, but there are still lots who don't want the responsibility. A system like the one I described would probably change that.

But wouldn't it be worse if he/she grew up with parents that look at her with disgrace, parents that do like they're just worthless beings they can just trow away or hurt for not reason, or they just completely ignore the child.
I find this way worse.
But what I do see in your solution is that people will be See More more carefull since there's a chance that when they get a child they can't get, rid, of the unborn baby....
