TW- Use of the gay slurs. TW- Use of the word autism
So, I go to school. Shocker, right? I have friends, and a squad. In this squad, we have had an umbrella term ( a word that describes a group of people ) and that word was the word 'gay'. It's been going on since 2016, and it was funny at first. Then it became a term that was used repeatedly to describe us. 2017, ah, the year that everyone hates. They're still using 'gay', and it seems as if it's become more of an insult now. See More So, I said early this morning that I was starting to get uncomfortable and offended by it, and asked them if they could stop using the word on discord and gave them three reasons why. 1. It's pretty old and overused. 2. It's starting to become insulting, and other people are starting to call all of us gay. 3. Literally like 2 out of the 10 people in the friendship group itself is gay. Everyone else is either straight,pan, aro or anything else. So when I walk into the cafeteria this morning, the first word they say to me was 'you're gay' and just started telling me how me being offended wasn't even valid, and that I'm not "allowed" to be offended. Lord, sweet jesus. They then told me the roblox death sound was old, and it's still being used. But that's because nobody gets fu*ing offended by the Roblox Death Sound. Then they said that them and their crush who rejected them yesterday kept calling each other "Faggots" and nobody is getting offended. But, I have a different mindset and different feelings. If you walked up to five people and called them a faggot, their reactions would all be different. So I walked away. I don't want to talk to this person right now, because they've basically said that I'm not allowed to be offended at certain things. I know that Gay isn't meant to be an offensive term, but can be used as such. Same thing with Autism. I know for a FACT this person hates Autism jokes and if I started using that as an umbrella term, they'd go batshit crazy. But that's basically it.

Oh fu**, I almost forgot the rest of the juicy details on how big of a piece of shit this friend is. They always go out of their way to talk about controversy and call everyone a "piece of shit" if they support something, or basically just don't agree with their opinion. They told me that NICEBEAN#1 wasn't trans because they don't go through gender dysphoria See More ( even though they're best friends, and gender dysphoria is a mENTAL THING YOU CAN'T READ MINDS. ) and let's not forget them arguing with some kid on a bus, telling them God wasn't real using science. I just don't want to be friends with this person anymore, but l don't know how to tell them.
