Over February vacation, I went to California, to visit my friend/crush. He already knows I like him (my sister had told him before).
So anyway, we were hanging out at the garden/park area near the capital, and my mom comes up, Skyping my sister. Let's call my sis Phoebe, and my friend Andrew.
Me: *talks to Phoebe* *starts to walk away*
My mom: Phoebe! Don't say that!
Andrew: *blushes* Uh..
Me: *walks up* What did she say?
My mom: *hanging up the Skype call* She didn't know that See More Andrew was listening, so she said, "Is Maggie having a good time with her smoochy-smoochy booyfriiieeend?"
Me: OH MY GOD. WHEN I GET HOME, I'M GONNA- X-(X-(
My mom: Sweetie, she didn't know that Andrew was-
Me: YES SHE DID!!!!!!!! SHE WAS JUST TRYING TO EMBARRASS ME, THE LITTLE-X-(
My mom: Stop it. I'm going to talk to her.

My mom: Look at that beautiful tree! Let's take pictures in front of it.
Me: *does the dip-pose-thingy with my mom*

I think kids would like history much more if teachers said these things:
"Okay kids, I hope you remembered to bring in cardboard, because we're making suits of armor, shields, and swords, and then having a medieval battle outside to help us learn about medieval times!"
"Today we're learning about perimeter and area. Open up Minecraft so we can use the cubic blocks as a visual aid."
"Let's see who can design and build a structure that we can put this egg in, drop out the window, See More and that will prevent the egg from cracking when it hits the ground! You have: tape, string, balloons, paper plates, index cards, and, of course, this egg. Ready, set, go!"

Whenever I talk to my (atheist) dad about astrology, he says stuff like, "Maggie, don't say that god is silly if you believe in all this stuff that's just as silly."
Well, I don't agree with him. First of all, there's been proof that god doesn't exist (comment on this or PM me if you want to debate), and so far, astrology hasn't really been disproved. Second of all, Pythagoras (the guy who came up with the Pythagorean Theorem) came up with numerology - a type of astrology based See More on numbers. Basically, numerology says that numbers can reveal a person's personality. Third of all, it has some scientific basis. For example, astrology is all about how the movements of the planets and constellations can affect your personality, and studies have shown that people born at different times of the year are born with different amounts of radiation in their bodies. That radiation might affect the way their brains work. Fourth of all, a research team conducted a survey on what star signs are most likely to have certain jobs. Then, they asked an astrology expert what star signs are most likely to have certain jobs, without showing the expert the survey results. The expert's answer matched the results of the survey!
